Will a wood fireplace insert heat a 1600 square foot cape? ?

My husband and I are trying to figure out if a fireplace insert would save us money this winter. We just cut down 6 trees in our yard and have tons of wood. I am just not sure if it will heat our upstairs bedroom and our heat is not zoned separately. Any help/advice or ideas regarding insert would be helpful.
