I have a quarter size hard red spot on my lower leg that is now warm to the touch. help!?

So a few weeks ago i got a HUGE golf ball size bruise in this ares of my leg. the bruise is gone but now, near where it was, there is a hard, red spot that is warm to the touch and hurts to the touch. im worried theres an infections or something... what could it be?
