Good Idea for Valentines Day?

So i decided to get my chick friend [ not girl friend] a good two pounds of valentines day candy [hershey kisses] for valentines day. It cost me five dollars at walmart. My friends decided to be kind enough to call me retarded for buying it. Was this a good choice or did I got to far?
