The possibility of mind reading?

If we can sense potential, kinetic, electric, thermal Energy, etc. Isn't it possible that we can sense the electric current given off by another being? Like you know when your around someone really sad or really happy, you can feel the emotions they are giving off without even seeing them. Sometimes you can also sense if another person is in the room with you. Wouldn't it be possible that we are sensing the electric energy given off by the persons mind? I've been in situations where I have perfectly guessed what the person was going to say because I am familiar with the vibe they emit. It seems like the very focused or familiar minds you are able to actually mind read and tell what they are thinking or felling.
