Why is it important for us to read the Quran? Why have so many in here not done that?

Salam .We muslims should read the qur'an everyday so we could have knowledge about it in depth The Qur'an is the life guide and way of life for all humans. It should be understood well so we can apply it in our daily lives properly. The reader and the hearer will get rewards from Allah. The syaitans will go away if the qur'an is recited The home is not like as silent as a grave if we recite the qur'an everyday. although it is only one ayat or verse.The qur'an could be regarded just only as decoration at home.By continuing to read it seriously we can memorize it step by step.
