God hates figs? Really?
God tells us that we shall know them by their fruits. The "good" fruits " of the Spirit of God are qualities like love, peace, joy, compion,...; God uses natural examples like figs and trees but He is actually talking about people. A tree that does not give good fruit is good for nothing. God uses the example of the basket of figs for us today in this generation of the fig tree. Jesus told a parable about the fig tree and tells us to LEARN it. Israel became a Nation again in 1948 and this year started that generation. The last generation of souls to be born. God tells us that during this generation , the "basket" of figs (souls that are born to this earth) will be very bad. Jesus is the true bread of life and His truths are to be "eaten", meaning consumed by our minds and hearts. These bad "figs" are so bad that they can't be eaten. If you look around the world today, I'm sure you've seen types of these bad figs and even unbelievers see how bad things have become in this world.
